Jimmy Small is an international development specialist, philanthropist, and entrepreneur, who has lived and worked closely with numerous vulnerable rural communities across the globe for more than three decades. An integral part of his work in these communities has involved fostering socio-economic improvements and empowering individuals to become economically self-sustainable.

In this spirit of mutual respect, affection, and collaboration, Jimmy has endeavored to celebrate these communities by capturing spontaneous images of people in the course of their day-to-day lives. Ultimately, photos constitute a testament to the powerful bonds of humanity, in which he invites everyone to intimately experience rural communities and individuals through his immersive perspective.

The photos displayed on this website, represent Jimmy’s initial foray into the dynamic world of international humanitarian, cultural, and fine art photography, whereby, the day-to-day lives of these vibrant people of Madagascar - as well as the glorious environment and wildlife  - are showcased.
